At A Glance

During my internship at GUNN Consultants, I developed the company's marketing strategy through a variety of creative projects, on both digital and tangible mediums.

The Problem

​

The company was going through a period of exciting changes: a new office, new hires, rapid project growth, and was beginning to undergo a rebranding period the same time I came on board. I worked closely with the Marketing Coordinator to give the brand the facelift it needed. We set 4 goals to meet that summer:

    Simplify logo 

    Rejuvenate standard colours

    Achieve consistency across all documents and platforms

    Introduce new brand effectively to external stakeholders

One of the most notable projects I took the lead on is GUNN's Project Showcase, which has been broadcasted every year since 2015 at the annual Client Appreciation Party.  This slideshow was our avenue for introducing the new branding to the rest of the world for the first time - it had to be seamless and have wow-factor simultaneously.

The Solution

​

Let's face it - most people who attend a party aren't there to read a book. Likewise, there is no way we could engage our clients in the Showcase if we used too much text.  Thus, each slide emphasizes the visual, but provides just the most essential information through text. Each project slide conveyed 3 points: the type of project, number/type of elevating products, and the project manager(s).  Colours were carefully selected to complement the standard blue and used to highlight facts.

 

What's a party without some fun? We infused fun into the showcase by adding a 'History of GUNN' segment, as well as a peek into the #GUNNFun we have at the office.  Animations were tastefully added to bring the whole project to life and round out a visually delightful experience.
